The City of Delta is bordered by Point Roberts, Washington to the south, the Fraser River to the north and Surrey to the east. Delta consists of three communities, Tsawwassen, Ladner and North Delta, each with its own distinct vibe.
Tsawwassen is known to be a safe and tight-knit community for family. It’s a small town of 21,588 people consisting of only five elementary schools and two-high schools.
Ladner was once a fishing village before expanding into a suburb and is the smaller of the three communities with a population size quite similar to Tsawwassen of 21,112 people. The attraction is the Ladner Village - a heritage community with open-air cafes and local shops. Some of the heritage residences there have been replaced by apartment buildings. There are five elementary schools and one high school.
North Delta is the largest of the three communities with a population of 56,017 people. It is highly multicultural and diverse. There are five high schools and fifteen elementary schools.
The winning feature of Delta is the people who move here don't seem to want to move out. Maclean's Magazine ranked Delta as the 59th best place in Canada to live in.
